Privacy Policy
Effective July 8, 2026
GoFly is private by design. The short version: we do not collect, store, or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind.
What stays on your device
Everything you enter lives only on your device:
- Calculator inputs (speeds, distances, fuel figures, and similar values).
- Saved aircraft profiles and weight and balance presets.
- App preferences and your free-trial usage count.
None of this is transmitted to us or to anyone else. Deleting the app deletes this data.
The one network request
When you use the METAR decoder, the app sends the airport identifier you typed (for example, KPAO) to the NOAA Aviation Weather Center (aviationweather.gov) to fetch the current report. That request is subject to NOAA's own policies, like any visit to a US government website. GoFly attaches no identifiers or personal information to it. Every other feature works entirely offline.
Purchases
Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see your name, email address, or payment details. The app checks your purchase status through Apple's StoreKit framework on the device.
No third parties
GoFly contains no third-party SDKs, no analytics frameworks, no advertising networks, and no crash reporters. The only external service it ever contacts is the NOAA weather service described above.
Children
GoFly does not collect data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If the app's privacy behavior ever changes, we will update this page and its effective date before the change ships.
